Iain Williamson

Managing Director & Senior Valuer

Iain Williamson has been active in the Glasgow property market since 2006 with total career property sales in excess of £160m and a current rental portfolio under management valued at circa £30m. Iain moved to the west end from the Isle of Mull in 1990 and has lived here ever since, currently residing in Broomhill with his wife and 2 children. He is a Business Graduate of Strathclyde Business School having attended Jordanhill Secondary School. Iain trained as a valuer under the GSPC in East Ayrshire before launching a partnership agency in 2007 with a solicitor firm on Park Road in Kelvinbridge. In 2011 IVY was launched as an independent agency and has grown organically ever since. Iain is an avid rugby fan having played for 30 years and now supports grass roots rugby in Glasgow and has sponsored Glasgow Warriors since 2014. With interests in all things property, his experience is strong and his advice is sound. He is often invited to contribute in the property sector media with regular appearances on BBC Scotland radio. Iain is also frequently quoted in the broad sheet press, most recently in the Financial Times.

Alex Thorley

Negotiator

Alex has been in the estate agency sector since 2014, she trained under Iain Williamson and was promoted to the position of Negotiator in 2017. Her style, knowledge and relationship skills have generated excellent results and strong client relationships. Alex, originally from Stockbridge in Edinburgh, attended St Georges School in Edinburgh and then studied Textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee. Alex moved to Glasgow's west end in 2010 working with the Hilton Group before joining IVY in 2014. Alex enjoys eating out, travel and selling houses at great prices.

Silvia Rigano-Tahu

Letting Manager

Silvia has been in the property sector since 2009 and joined IVY in 2013. Having grown up in Hyndland, Silvia later graduated from Strathclyde University with a BA in Italian and Russian before working in New York as a translator. Silvia has also worked in France, Italy and Turkey and is fluent in Italian, competent in French and Spanish and has a little bit of Russian. With over 10 years of experience in letting property management, there are few issues that Silvia has not navigated and solved. Her property and life experience combine to offer expert advice in all things letting related.

Clare Brown

Property Manager

Clare grew up in Bothwell and attended Fernhill School for Girls before attending Glasgow University and graduating with a degree in History of Art. Clare then went on to study Law, graduating from Strathclyde University before completing her diploma at Aberdeen University. Her traineeship was carried out at DAC Beachcroft in Glasgow before a move to the Wood Group in Aberdeen's Oil industry. Following the birth of her son, and a lifelong interest in property, Clare made the switch into property, joining IVY in 2017 and hasn’t looked back.
